The Club

The CH trails thrive because of the hundreds of volunteer hours put in annually by members of the Copper Harbor Trails Club (CHTC). The CHTC is part of the Copper Harbor Improvement Association (www.copperharbor.org) and maintains the trails through the support of numerous volunteers and local businesses as well as through partnerships with local government and other interest groups.

The mission of the CHTC is to get silent sports enthusiasts out on unforgettable trails while ensuring sustainability throughout Mother Nature. Members of the CHTC not only ride, run, hike, ski, snowshoe, and paddle but also promote, maintain and protect the trails, land and water that we all enjoy. The CHTC is committed to advocating for and improving silent sports access to local trails, is dedicated to preserving the unique lands that are the Keweenaw and specialize in getting out to recreate. ADVOCACY, PRESERVATION and RECREATION is the mantra of the CHTC.

New trails and improvements are constructed using sustainable practices promoted by the International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA). Learn more at their website (www.imba.com).
