Copper Harbor Trails deemed IMBA "Epic Ride"
The Copper Harbor Trail System was designated as an International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) "Epic Ride" in October, 2009! Now one of 48 such "Epic Rides" in the World, IMBA considers Copper Harbor to be some of the best of the best.
According to the IMBA: "Copper Harbor’s trails showcase superb, scenic views above Lake Superior, extensive singletrack over cedar-planked bridges and boardwalks, winds through old growth forests, along streams, inland lakes and places of historical significance amidst the purest, most vitalizing air on earth to make this a must ride on any avid mountain bikers’ 'to-do' list." The "Epic Ride" consists of these trails (in sequence): Copper Harbor Loop, Garden Brook, Woopidy Woo, Garden Brook, Blue Trail, Dza Beet, Here We Go, Ma Maki, Say Hello, Dza Beet, Simeh, De Deet, Red Trail, Clark Mine Road, Pauls Plunge, John Lincoln Green, Manganese Road, Ma Maki, Der we Went, Stairway to Heaven, Copper Harbor Loop to Trail Head.
