Hosted by the Copper Harbor Trails Club, the 33nd Annual Orbion x Copper Harbor Trails Fest takes place September 4th - 6th, 2026. The annual Labor Day Weekend event features races, music, beer, and good times over three days of action! This all-ages event has something for everyone, whether you're a cross-country lover, blazing-fast downhiller, enduro expert, sure-footed trail runner, or aspiring young ripper. Enjoy the best of what Copper Harbor, MI, has to offer with us all weekend!

King & Queen of the Mountain
Do you have what it takes to dominate at every event? Maybe not dominate... how about survive? The King and Queen of the Mountain is awarded to the fastest racers in the Expert Enduro, Long XC, & Downhill events. You must race in all three events to qualify! KOM/QOM ranks are determined by tallying up your place in each of the qualifying races. The lowest combined score wins (this is not judged on time except in a tie breaker).
Add in the 10k Trail Run to qualify for our special Beast Mode award! Given out to the craziest man and woman on the mountain, this special award recognizes the insane spirit of those that truly appreciate trails and are able to tackle every discipline at a high level. Just finishing all four of our top events is a feat to be commended for!
VOLUNTEERS NEeded
Trails Fest doesn't run itself, and honestly, some of the best memories from this weekend happen behind the scenes — cheering on racers, handing out water, keeping things running smooth. If you love this event and want in on the action (without necessarily racing), we need YOU.

Join us for live music Saturday and Sunday nights at Donny Kilpela Park, 7–11 p.m. Music wristbands are included for racers and volunteers — lucky you! Not racing? Saturday, Sept. 4
Nashville, Tennessee serendipitously fused Seth and Desiree Brown, the core members of Finding Feathers (previously Seth Brown Duo). It’s been a whirlwind of music, love, and adventure ever since. Playing 90+ shows a year these days; festivals, concerts, and great venues. Falling in love with the northern midwest during their travels, the couple now proudly calls Upper Michigan home. Touring the Great Lakes region and beyond each year!
Dead North is a progressive bluegrass and Americana band originally from the northwoods of Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula, now based in Minneapolis. The duo features Luke Pascot (guitar, banjo, vocals) and Kora Melia (mandolin, fiddle, vocals), known for blending traditional bluegrass with Gratefully Dead-inspired tunes and their own original music.
Sunday, Sept. 5
The Make-Believe Spurs — based in Marquette, Michigan — have been making music together since 2022. Inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, the Grateful Dead, John Prine, and Nathaniel Rateliff, their sound flows from intimate harmonies to high-energy, dance-worthy performances.
Brookie, formed in 2025 in Hancock, Brookie MI, serves up northern country treats topped with psychedelic harmony.
