HELp US CLEAR THE TRAILS FOR THE SEASON

Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 10 AM
& SUNDAY, MAY 17, 2026 at 10 AM

(Sponsored by Rhythm Bike Shop)

60+ miles of singletrack trail can't clear itself! Every winter the Keweenaw see countless storms, hundreds of inches of snow, and more downed branches than you can shake a stick at. Before our trails can open, we need all hands on deck to remove downed trees and leaf blow the entire system. We rely on dozens of volunteers to help out with this extremely important task.

We'll be hosting two volunteer work days on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 17.

At 10 a.m., we'll meet at the CHTC Basecamp (our new office) at 64 Gratiot St, Copper Harbor, MI, and will head out in small groups from there. Bring chainsaws, leaf blowers, rakes, whatever you have. We will have some tools available too.

After the work is done, we'll head back to CHTC Basecamp to celebrate with a cookout and drinks. On Sunday, May 17, Rhythm Bike Shop will have e-bike demos and shuttles ready so you can make the most of the trails.

*If you can't make the work day but are still looking to help out email nick@copperharbortrails.org and we can coordinate immediate needs.

See you out there!
